Millrace Park is located in Taylorsville, Utah (Salt Lake County) at 1200 West 5400 South on the north side of the street. Dogs must be on a leash in the main park area (outside the off-leash area).
The off-leash area is open weekdays except Tuesdays. On weekends, the park is open Saturdays from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM and on Sundays from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
A park tag is required for your dog to use the off-leash area at Millrace Park. The tag is available for $10 for Taylorsville residents and $25 for non-residents. The tag must be renewed each year. Senior residents may purchase tags for $5.00 and senior non-residents will be charged $10. Your pet must be licensed before being issued a park tag. Call 801-963-5400 for more information.
Although Millrace appears to be the only dog park in the valley that requires a park tag, the park remains very popular and is a great place to bring your licensed, well-behaved dogs for play and socialization.
By any measure, the park is somewhat overused. The grass has not held up well to such heavy use and measures may be needed in the near future to address this and related issues.
